Papuma Beach

Hello, welcome to my blog.
And now, I want to tell you about how beautiful PAPUMA Beach is. This is my favorite beach in Jember, and I make you sure that you wont be disappointed if you visit PAPUMA Beach. In this blog, I will show you some pictures of PAPUMA and also information you need to get there. So keep on this blog !



Papuma is a beach located about 37 km south from Jember city. Administratively, this beach is in Lojejer village, Wuluhan, Jember.The name of Papuma in an acronym from "Pasir Putih Malikan". Because the sand of Papuma is white and this is different with Watu Ulo, or others beach in Jember.



You could get there by motorcycle, car, bus, or maybe truck if you want from Jember city. But for bus, because bus is large enough, you need to walk to get the beach. Because the road to get there is not large enough for bus. and the access to get there is a little bit difficult. Please don't go by pedicab if you're from Jember city, because this is far enough from Jember city. You could be there in a hour, if you drive normally. But if you drive a little bit faster, maybe you could be there in a half hour. But so sorry, you can't go there by public transportation, except you rent the public transportation. Because our government doesn't support the public transportation for the visitors to get there.

For the ticket, you have to pay IDR 14k for a person, include adult and child. and Also pay for the park area. For a bus is IDR 6k, a car is IDR 2k, and a motorcycle is IDR 1k.

So there are teak tress along the road, and also some rice field, corn field in the right and left side. In the dry season, it's looked so beautiful.

  • You also can visit the "Wihara Sri Wulan"

  • You can find much monkey here. I ever visited Papuma in the evening, and I find so much monkey here. They really look so cute, but ya I am afraid to get closer with them, because I think They're still wild, and That's dangerous if you get closer to them

  • You can enjoy the souvenir shop here, it sell like bracelet, necklace, or others handicraft  from shell.

It's not seem clear, But at least you'll find a souvenir shop here, near from the "Wihara Sri Wulan"

  • You also can enjoy the ocean by hiring the fishing boat.

When I visited there and rent the fishing boat, it cost is IDR 10k for a person. 

  • You can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Papuma Beach like this




If you like photography, I recommend you to visit this beach. Because I am sure you will find the beautiful scenery here, furthermore If you visit when the sea is tidal. You'll see the shells and that's really awesome. Trust me!

  • And for others facility, you will find the adventure packet, just like ATV, snorkling, fishing, tour bahari, tracking, camping, outbond, and war game. the photo below is the price of that packet :



  • And the last, for the food and beverage provider, don't worry there are many "warung ikan bakar" so you could enjoy "ikan bakar" here with your friends, family, or boyfriend and girlfriend


So, I think that's enough for the explanation from me. In my opinion, Papuma is the best beach in Jember, and I really love it. It's beautiful and I can find the calmness here. Play with the waves, see the beautiful scenery of shells or  rocks, take a lot of pictures here. I recommend you, for all of you. If you visit Jember, you must visit the Papuma Beach and feel the sensations there.
